Winter Sage Peartini

Diamonds

The Winter Sage Peartini is one of those cocktails that is so light and refreshing, you just can’t seem to get enough of it! There are quite a few ingredients in this unique concoction, but it is so easy to build that you’ll be sipping on the Winter Sage Peartini within minutes. It’s actually made directly in the glass, meaning there’s no need for fancy bar tools, just pour and mix.

This is such a simple and satisfying cocktail recipe. So without further ado, I say we get right into it!

As I mentioned, it’s built directly in the glass, which I love because it’s incredibly straightforward. You just fill a highball or wine glass with ice. Now, the choice of glass matters here – a highball is perfect for a taller drink, but a wine glass gives it an elegant touch, especially if you’re entertaining.

Next, we add pear puree. This brings a lovely, mellow sweetness to the drink. It’s not overpoweringly sweet, but it’s got a natural, fruity flavor that really sets the tone for the cocktail. Plus, it gives the drink a smooth texture. Then, there’s elderflower liqueur, which is one of my favorite ingredients to mix in cocktails. This stuff is fantastic. It adds a subtle floral note that’s not too in-your-face. It’s slightly sweet and has a delicate fragrance that pairs beautifully with the pear.

Ginger liqueur is where things get interesting. It adds a bit of a zing – a warm, spicy kick that contrasts with the sweetness of the pear and the floral notes of the elderflower. In my opinion, some type of citrus juice is essential in most cocktail recipes. With that being said, a splash of lemon juice in this cocktail is crucial. It cuts through the sweetness and adds a bright, citrusy freshness to the drink as a whole.

Now, the sage simple syrup is the secret weapon. It brings in this herbaceous, slightly earthy flavor that’s really unique. It’s not every day you find sage in a cocktail, but here, it works wonders, especially with the pear and ginger. After all, this is a Winter Sage Peartini!

After mixing these ingredients, the final touch is topping it off with Prosecco. This adds a bit of fizz and lightness to the drink. It’s like the icing on the cake – or, well, the fizz in the cocktail! It makes the drink feel celebratory and lively.

And for the garnish, fresh sage leaves and a dried pear slice just elevate the whole experience.

So, what you get is a beautiful blend of flavors – the sweet and fruity pear, the floral elderflower, the spicy ginger, the tart lemon, and the herbal sage, all rounded off with the bubbly Prosecco. Perfect for a relaxing night in, you’ve got to try this one for yourself!
