Raspberry Cream Pie

Diamonds

The Raspberry Cream Pie is a cocktail for those who adore sweet, fruity libations. It consists of three simple ingredients, along with some fresh raspberries. I’ve crafted my fair share of dessert-inspired cocktails, but I believe this is one of my favorites!

The Raspberry Cream Pie cocktail features fresh raspberries instead of artificial flavorings or syrups, bringing natural and sweet notes directly from the fruit. Begin by muddling about 4-5 raspberries in a lowball glass until they’re broken down, then set this aside until you’re ready to serve the cocktail.

Next, the process is simple and straightforward. Take a cocktail shaker or mixing glass to combine the final three ingredients. This cocktail is vodka-based, and given its focus on sweetness, we opt for vanilla vodka. Vanilla vodka, ideal for dessert cocktails, offers a natural sweetness with subtle vanilla notes that are delicious yet allow the other flavors to shine and meld with the spirit.

To enhance the raspberry flavors, we add a bit of Chambord, a French liqueur made from raspberries and blackberries. This adds a sweet and slightly tart berry richness to the drink.

Finally, to make this a creamy delight, we incorporate heavy cream. I often use heavy cream in cocktails to achieve a smooth, velvety texture. It excellently softens the sharpness of strong spirits and balances acidity. Though heavy cream is traditionally a coffee mixer, it also works wonderfully in cocktails!

Step 4: Garnish with a few more fresh raspberries atop the cocktail.

A Raspberry Cream Pie is exactly that, but in a cocktail glass. It’s sweet, creamy, and fruity from the very first sip, and I promise you’ll fall in love! Mix this up the next time you’re craving a bit of sweetness.
