Pomtini

Diamonds

Look out, cocktail community, there’s a new fruit-forward libation in town! The Pomtini combines the light and bright flavors of fresh grapefruit with pomegranate, ginger, and delicious botanical vodka. And while these flavors may seem to be pinging all over the place, the Pomtini is where they come together, and balance each other out, in a very tasty way. It may be difficult to imagine, but who doesn’t love shaking up something completely new? So grab your barware, because it’s time to give this pomegranate cocktail recipe a try.

When it comes to favorite summertime flavors, grapefruit is high on the list for me. And when I think about cocktail ingredients used in the colder months, pomegranate and ginger come to mind. So, when creating the Pomtini I thought: why not combine the two together? If you ask me, this is the perfect way to create a year-round favorite that subtly highlights whichever season you happen to be in. While the grapefruit and rose vodka are hinting at summer, the ginger liqueur and pomegranate are bringing some fall and winter flavor. And no matter how warm or chilly you may be, this Queen Bee says its a delightful combination!

Simply put, this seasonal mash-up does not disappoint. Plus, can we talk about this color? The orangish-red hue make the Pomtini a sight for sore eyes, and a libation that can be garnished in a thousand different ways. I mixed up the round you see here in the peak of summer, so a bright yellow lemon twist and beautiful flower were undoubtedly the way to go. Shaking one up with a little less sun? I’d recommend dressing your glass with some perfectly placed candied ginger or perhaps a sprig of rosemary. Talk about yum!
