I made the Morning Spritz for those slow, golden mornings when the playlist is mellow, the sunlight is just right, and the first pour of the day deserves to sparkle. It’s bright, citrusy, and just indulgent enough to feel like a celebration, whether you’re hosting friends or just starting the day your way.
At its core is citrus vodka: zesty, clean, and made to lift every ingredient it touches. It’s the perfect base for a morning cocktail. It’s bold enough to make an impression, but smooth enough to sip with ease.
Fresh lemon juice cuts through with crisp acidity, waking up the palate and giving the drink that eye-opening brightness you want from a brunch sip. And then, there’s the twist! Orange marmalade. It’s not just sweet; it’s layered.
With bits of peel and that signature marmalade bitterness, it adds texture and depth that plain syrup can’t match. It’s citrus jam in cocktail form, and it works so well here.
Shake it all together and double strain into a stemmed glass over ice. But don’t skip the prep: a fresh orange slice pressed inside the glass adds instant elegance, and when the drink is poured, it shines like sunrise in a glass.

Step 1: Add the vodka, lemon juice, and a bar spoon of marmalade to a shaker topped with ice. Shake until chilled.
