Lavender Berry Gin Sour

Diamonds

Looking for a cocktail that’s equal parts beautiful, bold, and balanced? Let me introduce you to the Lavender Berry—a fresh and floral take on the classic gin sour that’s become a personal favorite of mine (and a go-to at family gatherings).

This drink is all about contrast and harmony. It brings together sweet, tart, botanical, and floral elements in a way that’s smooth, sophisticated, and seriously hard to put down.

Plus, can we talk about the color? With its vibrant hue and creamy froth, this cocktail doesn’t just taste good, it looks stunning in the glass.

At the base, we’ve got gin—known for its aromatic, botanical profile.

Gin sours traditionally lean citrusy, but I wanted to soften the sharpness and round out the flavor with something a little sweeter and unexpected. That’s where blueberries come in.

I muddle fresh berries into the shaker for a juicy burst of flavor and gorgeous natural color. Then comes the twist that takes this recipe from lovely to unforgettable: lavender simple syrup.

Lavender adds a light floral complexity that pairs beautifully with both the gin and the berries. It’s delicate but not overpowering.

Just enough to give the cocktail an herbal edge and an elegant finish. I’m a huge fan of working with infused syrups, and this one might just be my favorite yet.

To bring it all together, I use lemon juice for brightness and, of course, an egg white for that velvety, frothy finish.

It creates a silky texture and a creamy cap that elevates the entire experience. The shake—first dry, then with ice—is what gives you that signature airy top and smooth body.
