This cocktail started with a question: What would a Mojito taste like if it spent the morning in the garden?
The Garden Mojito is the answer—a cooler, greener, more botanical take on the classic, designed for quiet moments, breezy afternoons, or when you just need something that feels crisp and calming.
It still begins where all great Mojitos do: with mint, lime, and white rum. Muddled gently to release their oils and juices, the mint brings that signature coolness while the lime wakes everything up with a bright, citrusy pop.
The rum holds it all together—light, clean, and smooth.
But from there, things get a little more unexpected.
Thin slices of fresh cucumber are added to the muddle, layering in soft, hydrating green notes that instantly change the tone of the cocktail. It’s not overpowering—it’s refreshing, delicate, and beautifully balanced against the mint and lime.
To lift the whole thing into something even more special, a splash of elderflower liqueur is added. Lightly floral, slightly sweet, and full of soft summer energy, it gives the cocktail a graceful finish that’s subtle but unmistakable.
Shake it all up and strain into a highball glass over fresh ice. Top with tonic water for that effervescent edge, and garnish with a ribbon of cucumber that curls like it came straight off the vine.
Step 1: Muddle lime, mint, and cucumbers in a cocktail shaker.
Step 2: Pour in the rum and elderflower liqueur, topped with ice. Shake until chilled.
Step 3: Strain into a highball glass over fresh ice and top it off with tonic water.
The Garden Mojito is a drink for slowing down. For sinking into a shady chair with your feet up and a good breeze rolling through.
It’s refreshing in a way that feels pure—cool, green, floral, and completely calming. The kind of cocktail that doesn’t need to shout to make an impression.
