Do you ever find yourself yearning for a drink that captures the vibrant spirit of a fall night? One that offers not just refreshment but an unforgettable journey through flavors? Well, say hello to the Chile Evening Weather cocktail—a blend of perfectly balanced sweet, spicy, and refreshing notes. Fall is just around the corner and I thought it was a great time to start shaking up cocktails inspired by one of my favorite seasons!
For this recipe, I’ve partnered with Bacardi Rum to show off one of their most delicious and vibrant flavored spirits: Bacardi Mango Chili Rum.
With respect to the name of the cocktail itself, Chile Evening Weather, the key ingredient of this recipe is the chile itself! But, of course we need to balance out the spice with some delicious additions like sweet mangos and crisp cucumbers. I actually start off the cocktail process with these by muddling them together directly in the cocktail shaker with some mint. This allows all the natural flavors and juices to blend together creating a flavorful base for the overall drink.
The Chile Evening Weather cocktail got its name from the rum I went for with this recipe: Bacardi Mango Chile Rum. This is such a unique rum flavor and a true game changer for the cocktail recipe. The subtle spiciness amplifies the drink from “Oh, this is nice” to “Wow, what is this?”. The first time I took a sip of this mango chile rum, I was completely in love with it, so be sure to pick yourself up a bottle next time you’re shopping for spirits.
It doesn’t hit you with overwhelming heat but rather, offers a nice spice thanks to the blend of sweet mango notes. Before giving this mixture a shake, I also wanted to add some agave and lime juice to simply tie the recipe together. In my opinion, these are classic cocktail ingredients that you can’t really go wrong with!
Finally, once everything is mixed together and strained in a glass, top it off with some club soda to give the cocktail a refreshing, crisp finish.
Step 1: Add diced mango, diced cucumber and mint to a shaker and muddle.
Step 2: Add rum, lime juice, agave nectar and ice to the shaker and shake until well combined.
Step 3: Fill a glass with ice and strain mixture into glass.
Step 4: Top with club soda and garnish.
The Chile Evening Weather is a vibrant, multi-layered cocktail that’s a feast for the senses. It’s a balanced dance between sweet, spicy, and refreshing, with each component complementing the other perfectly.
Mix yourself a Chile Evening Weather cocktail! Your taste buds will thank you.
