Butcher Chef Espresso Martini

Diamonds

Have you ever been to a dinner party where the guests opted for a cup of freshly-brewed coffee after the big meal? I’ve always loved the idea of this ritual, but I am definitely more of an after-supper cocktail gal myself. Well thankfully, with the help of the Butcher Chef Espresso cocktail, we can all have the best of both worlds! In this drink, we’re mixing a delicious double shot of espresso–feel free to swap in cold brew if you’d rather–with a delightfully smooth vodka and beloved coffee liqueur.

I think some members of my audience get a little nervous when I break out the blow torch in my recipes. But c’mon, what’s more fun than a perfectly toasted marshmallow? If you haven’t added this tool to your home bar setup, I highly recommend giving it a try. Its a fun way to add some flair to your next garnish, and I have quite a few recipes right here on my website that you can reference, including my Key Lime Pie Martini, if you need a bit of inspiration. Just be sure to move quickly, because this powerful lighter can take things from delightfully roasted to burnt crisp in a few seconds flat.

If you’re someone who can’t drink caffeine late in the evening, I hear you. I have to be selective about when and how much I can consume, or I’ll be up all night! For those of us who need to be caffeine-cautious, I recommend swapping out the espresso for some strongly brewed decaf. This will help you get all of the delightful coffee flavor into your drink, while still being able to hit the hay at a decent hour. Alternatively, you certainly have this Queen Bee’s go-ahead to enjoy this cocktail recipe as early in the day as you’d like.
