It’s apple season in the Pacific Northwest, and that means it’s time to stock up on fresh apples from our local farmers markets and apple orchards. And what better way to bask in apple season than by making a delicious apple pie…cocktail, that is.
So, I thought I’d share my favorite Apple Pie Cocktail recipe with you all. This drink is great for sipping on while you enjoy the crisp autumn air. It’s like drinking a slice of warm apple pie. Yum!
If you’re like me, at some point you’ve probably wondered about the origins of apple pie. This classic fall dessert has been around for centuries, and it can be traced back to England. Over the years, apple pie has evolved and become a staple in American cuisine. The classic dish is typically made with a double crust and filled with a mix of tart and sweet apples.
Just like the classic dessert, this Apple Pie Cocktail is sure to be a crowd pleaser. It’s the perfect drink to serve at your next fall gathering or holiday party. So, grab some apple cider, break out the cinnamon whiskey, and let’s get started!
Step 1: In a cocktail shaker, add vodka, whiskey, apple cider, half & half, a pinch of salt, and ice. Cover and shake for 30 seconds.
Step 2: Add pebble ice to glass, then pour cocktail shaker contents over ice.
Step 3: Drizzle top of drink with a little caramel sauce and garnish with apple slice. Serve immediately and enjoy!
I love the way the sweetness of the apple cider pairs with the spice from the whiskey, and the addition of caramel drizzle makes it taste like fall in a glass.
This Apple Pie Cocktail is sure to hit the spot. Made with just five simple ingredients (and just a little caramel sauce), it’s easy to make and even easier to enjoy. Cheers!
