Aperol is one of my favorite cocktail ingredients. Similar to Campari but less bitter in taste, it gives a vibrant burst of color to any drink. The orange-red hues of Aperol remind me of crisp autumn leaves, so naturally I paired it with a classic fall staple: apple cider! The results were undeniably delicious, and I can’t wait to share the recipe with you.

This Apple Cider Aperol Spritz is a refreshing, photo-worthy cocktail that’s sure to please.  I’ve used cinnamon to rim the glass and a sprig of fresh thyme paired with a cinnamon stick to garnish. It truly ties this beverage together and gives it just the right finishing touch. This seasonal beverage is ideal for serving at a dinner party or enjoying on a special occasion. Step 1: Rim glass by dipping in apple cider and then in cinnamon sugar mixture; set aside until ready to use.

Step 2: Fill glass with ice.

Step 3: Pour in the spiced apple cider and Aperol. Top with champagne.
