Shake Up Your Summer with Must-Serve Fruity Cocktails: Sip, Savor, and Enjoy!

As the summer heat rolls in, there’s no better way to cool down and celebrate the season than with a refreshing fruity cocktail in hand. Bursting with vibrant flavors, these must-serve drinks are the perfect way to embrace the spirit of summer. Whether you’re hosting a backyard barbecue or simply lounging by the pool, these fruity cocktails will make your taste buds dance with joy.
Summer is all about embracing the vibrant colors, fresh produce, and juicy flavors that Mother Nature has to offer. Fruity cocktails capture the essence of the season, combining ripe fruits, zesty citrus, and tantalizing sweetness to create the perfect balance of refreshment and indulgence. I know that whenever the suns out, I pull out my freshest fruits and imagine what I can combine in my shaker. So, here are a couple of my go-to cocktails with a variety of different berries and fruity juices!
Punch Drunk Love:
Allow me to introduce the Punch Drunk Love, my take on the classic rum punch cocktail that I’ve enjoyed sipping on for years. While I’m not changing up too much from the traditional recipe, I always like to make these cocktails as simple as possible. These days, I prefer cocktails on the bolder side, but I used to love ordering a good tropical cocktail, especially while on vacation. The rum punch is the equivalent to a tropical beach trip, just in a glass! Not only is this libation mouthwatering, but its bright orange hues also make it a stunning head turner.

Raspberry Vodka Sour:
The Raspberry Sour is a fruity spin on the standard sour cocktail recipe. Raspberries are some of my favorite berries to work with because of their sweet flavor and slight acidity. In this case, those exact flavor notes blend perfectly with a sour cocktail to create an even balance of sweet and tangy.

Strawberry Lemon Drop:
I’m excited to bring you another variation of the classic Lemon Drop cocktail but this time, I’m mixing in a fruity addition! Who doesn’t love strawberries? They’re always a great ingredient to opt for when you’re looking to sweeten your cocktail mixture up a bit, and that was my exact intention when creating this Strawberry Lemon Drop cocktail recipe.

Blueberry Lavender Sour:
When I’m in the kitchen experimenting with different cocktail ingredients, I’ve found that you can never really go wrong with the basic blueberry. Blueberries are a close second favorite, so I thought I’d whip up a recipe revolving around this yummy berry. The Blueberry Lavender Sour takes your everyday sour cocktail and elevates it with a fruity touch and a vibrant red color.

Mountain Berry:
What do you envision when you think of the Pacific Northwest? As someone who has lived in the region for years, my mind immediately jumps to evergreen forests, awe-inspiring bodies of water, and skylines dotted with some of the world’s most iconic mountain peaks. I have always loved these PNW treasures, especially the blackberries that begin to pop up in the summer. That’s why I chose to use fresh, seasonal blackberries that would highlight this cocktails refreshing notes and act as a tribute to the joy of a Seattle area summer.

The beauty of fruity cocktails is that they are meant to be enjoyed and shared with friends and loved ones. So, gather your favorite people, grab a cocktail shaker, and let the fruity flavors mingle and create moments of pure joy.
